Our Mission

The Mission of the Savannah Professional Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 574, shall be to advance firefighting and related emergency services as a profession by fostering and encouraging a high degree of skill and efficiency, cultivating friendships, and cooperation among its members, public officials, and citizens of our community.

On May 27, 1971, during open council meeting, IAFF Local #574 was recognized as the bargaining agent for the City of Savannah Fire Fighters.
